Product-Focused Engineering Intern

Position Description:

We are a venture-backed start-up looking for a student join our team as a product focused engineering intern. This is a paid role.

Are you someone who loves to code so you can build amazing products? Do you like seeing your work in the hands of users? As a product-focused engineer in this fast growing startup, you will be responsible for shipping valuable code and crafting feature improvements for our users from day one.

Your responsibilities include:

- Developing new product features that improve our users' lives & careers

- Working across the full stack of our code base (frontend and backend)

- Build reusable code, improve the existing architecture and workflow

- Participate in design, product and code reviews
Identifying possible product improvements & implementing them

- Inventing internal tools that allow us to do more with less

- Running various product and growth experiments and evaluating them

You will also receive engineering mentoring from senior engineers who have worked at great tech companies like Canva & Freelancer. You will also help shape the future direction of our product as we grow.

As part of our team, you will also always receive career help and mentoring from our extended technology, business, venture capital, and startup network.

Position Type: Undergraduate-Students : Postgraduate-Students : Alumni

Selection Criteria: For this role, we're looking for people who are excited to tackle interesting problems around code, web, analytics/ai and user-experiences.

Desired Skills include:
- HTML/CSS/Javascript full-stack skills (or the desire to learn them)

- Experience with web applications (or the desire to learn them)

- Want to learn fast, contribute to a team and make an impact

Length: 2 month paid part-time internship + full summer internship
Days of the week: minimum 2-3 days per week (the more days they can work the better)
Start date: Immediately.
